Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a vertical inner surface grinder whereby grinding of a workpiece can be easily ground, even if the workpiece has no hole or the like for discharging a grinding liquid.SOLUTION: A vertical inner surface grinder comprises a work table 101 which holding and rotating the bottom surface of a workpiece 150 having a recess 150a, a grindstone 103 for grinding the inner surface of the recess 150a, a grinding liquid supply part 121 for supplying grinding liquid 120 to a grinding point of the grindstone 103, and a grinding liquid suction part 131 for sucking the grinding liquid 120 that remains in the recess 150a. The grinding liquid suction part 131 includes a suction nozzle 132a having an opening 132a in the tip thereof, and the opening 132a is oriented to the travel direction of eddy current generated in the grinding liquid 120 by rotation of the work table 101.
