Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of an apnea monitor for collecting primary and secondary detection of an apnea state of a patient, at a single site.SOLUTION: The operation method of the apnea monitor includes steps of: causing a primary respiratory detector to monitor fluids exhaled from a patient's nasal cavity and/or oral cavity or fluids inhaled to the patient's nasal cavity and/or oral cavity; causing a secondary respiratory detector to detect a signal representing physiology of the patient; and causing a processor to process data from output signals of the primary respiratory detector and the secondary respiratory detector respectively, to determine based on the result of the processing whether or not there are fluids exhaled from the patient's nasal cavity and/or oral cavity or fluids inhaled to the patient's nasal cavity and/or oral cavity and, when there are no such fluids, to sound an alarm.
