Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with enhanced vibration and/or shock absorption performance.SOLUTION: A hard disk drive (HDD) 7 has: a second shock absorbing material 10 and a first shock absorbing material 11 which are in surface contact with a bottom surface 7c being interposed by an insulation member 13; and an upper shock absorbing material 9 which is in surface contact with the opposite side of the HDD 7 being interposed by the insulation member 13. The HDD 7 is mounted between a bottom plane 6a and an upper plane 6b of a case 6. When a shock F2 is applied to the HDD 7, the second shock absorbing material 10 contracts from a thickness T0 to a thickness T2, and the first shock absorbing material 11 also buckles. A buckling portion 11a of the first shock absorbing material 11 begins to buckle when the second shock absorbing material 10 contracts to the thickness T2 to reduce the shock independently from the second shock absorbing material 10. From T0 to less than T2 (T1), only the second shock absorbing material 10 contracts, exceeding the thickness T2, the shock is widely reduced by the first shock absorbing material 11 and the second shock absorbing material 10.
