Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an ascent/descent width even in a refrigerator of a small depth, and to increase a storage amount.SOLUTION: A pair of guide rails 13 are disposed on right and left side faces of an accommodating portion of a lower drawer 11 in a lower storage compartment 7 of a refrigerator body 3 in a state that they can be longitudinally extended, and a pair of slide rails 18 supported by the guide rails 13 slidably in the longitudinal direction are projected from faces at a lower storage chamber 7 side, of a drawer door. Each of the slide rails 18 is provide with a pair of engagement chains, and a taking in-and-out mechanism for taking in and out both engagement chains from a prescribed accommodating position, in a state that parts existing in chain accommodating grooves, of both engagement chains are separated from each other, parts drawn out from the chain accommodating grooves of both engagement chains are engaged with each other and extended upward in a columnar state, and their upper ends support the lower drawer 11.
