Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate not only to specify the position of a power cable even when the power cable is not available at a spot visually recognizable, but also to simply specify the spot having a high possibility of generating a ground-fault and to reduce the time for specifying the ground-fault.SOLUTION: The method for specifying a ground-fault position of a power cable of the present invention is configured such that the signals transmitted by a plurality of wireless tags arranged at an equal interval with a predetermined distance fixed on the power cable are received by receiving means, a real distance between the wireless tags at a position where the signals are received by the receiving means is calculated, a difference between this real distance and the prescribed distance is compared, the location of the power cable, in which this difference becomes equal to or more than a fixed value, is specified by measuring means, and the ground-fault position is specified from unique information on the wireless tags arranged on the specified power cable.
