Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lift a bottom plate of a manual tray while increasing usability thereof.SOLUTION: In manual paper feeding printing of a color image forming apparatus 1, a controller controls driving of a conveyance motor 100, and operations of a contact-separation clutch 102, a resist clutch 103, a manual paper feeding clutch 105 and a one-way clutch 106, to transfer each toner image on photoreceptors 71K, 71M, 71C, 71Y to an intermediate transfer belt 61, to perform position adjustment of paper P conveyed from a manual supplying part 80 by the resist roller 22, then to transfer the image to the paper P by a secondary transfer roller 67, to operate activation processing of the photoreceptors 71K, 71M, 71C, 71Y when the rear end of the paper P in the sub-scanning direction passes the secondary transfer roller 67, and to transmit during the activation processing, the driving force of the conveyance motor 100 to a bottom plate lifting part 109 via the one-way clutch 106 to move a manual bottom plate 83 from a contact position to a separation position.
