Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of securing sealability by improving bondability between a tank and a tube.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 1 includes a plurality of tubes 20 arranged parallel to each other, outer fins 30 for increasing a heat transfer area of the tubes 20, a tank 4A communicated with one end of each tube 20, and a tank B communicated with the other end of each tube 20. Each of the tanks 4A and 4B has a slot 50 penetrating through the inside and outside to allow an end portion of the tube 20 to be inserted thereinto. At least at an inner surface 40B sides of the tanks 4A and 4B, of inner peripheral faces of the slots 50, a dimension of an opening is gradually reduced toward a depth side of the slot 50, and the inner peripheral face 52 of the slot 50 and an outer peripheral face of the tube 20 are bonded to each other with a brazing filler material 45A supplied from a brazing filler material layer 45 positioned on outer surfaces 40A of the tank 4A and 4B.
