Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow simple walls to be easily installed so that people can take shelter from wind and rain while waiting for rescue on an evacuation stage after a tsunami comes.SOLUTION: A tsunami evacuation tower comprises: a plurality of columns; beams stretched over between the columns; evacuation stages supported by the beams; and ascending/descending means for the evacuation stages. The evacuation stages include: a top floor evacuation stage in a position higher than a predicted arriving height of a tsunami; an intermediate floor evacuation stage below the top floor evacuation stage; and upper tensioning means and lower tensioning means horizontally stretched over between the top floor evacuation stage and the intermediate floor evacuation stage. After a tsunami comes, connection members are detachably connected to the upper tensioning means and the lower tensioning means, and simple walls are detachably attached to the upper tensioning means and the lower tensioning means via the connection members.
