Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency error detector which can detect a carrier frequency error with small operation amount.SOLUTION: A first frequency error detection unit 21 includes a known signal extraction unit 31 for extracting a reception known signal from a complex symbol signal, a complex operation unit 32 for performing first complex operation of a sequence of reception known signals and cancelling the phase rotation component, a reference signal supply unit 33 for supplying a sequence of reference complex signals generated by performing the same operation as the first complex operation of a sequence of known signals, a correlation operation unit 36 for calculating distribution of mutual correlation value between the output sequence from the complex operation unit and the sequence of reference complex signals, and a peak detection unit 37 for detecting a carrier frequency error by detecting a distribution having a maximum peak from these distributions.
