Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively evaluate the number of birds colliding with a windmill.SOLUTION: In an installation area of a wind turbine generator system, the volume of a windmill rotation altitude width is calculated (S2). A sphere having the blade rotation surface of a windmill as a center is assumed as a windmill contactable area, and the volume of the contactable areas of all windmills is calculated (S3). The latter volume is divided by the former volume, and a space occupying rate independent of birds is calculated (S4). For individual birds (S5), a passage frequency of passing the windmill contactable area is calculated (S6), a frequency of passing the blade rotation surface among the passage frequency is calculated (S7), and a birds collision number is calculated by adding an avoidance rate and a contact rate (S8).
