Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device and an elevator control method using a foot switch, which enable easy execution of various operations of an elevator by using the foot switch.SOLUTION: An elevator control device connected to a foot switch disposed in an elevator landing or inside of an elevator car and to an elevator as a control target, includes an operation content specifying part and a control part. The operation content specifying part detects a special operation executed with the foot switch, and specifies operation content other than a call registration of the elevator car on the basis of the special operation. The control part controls the operation of the elevator by the operation content specified by the operation content specifying part.
