PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wire electric discharge machining apparatus capable of achieving wire electric discharge machining having superior accuracy in straightness of a machined surface.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge machining apparatus is provided for machining a workpiece with an electrical discharge, while relatively moving a wire electrode and the workpiece, by generating a pulsed electrical discharge between the wire electrode and the workpiece. When detecting such a state that unevenness occurs in the electrical discharge by using at least one detection value among a discharge pulse generated in the interelectrode between the wire electrode and the workpiece, and an interelectrode voltage, the conditions of generating the discharge pulse are controlled.
