Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator assembly method by which an oxide film is not formed on inner faces of a clip and of refrigerant piping during brazing.SOLUTION: There is provided the stator assembly method in which clips where refrigerants flow are bonded respectively to a first end of a stator coil projected from one end of a stator core and a second end of the stator coil projected from the other end of the stator core, and refrigerant piping is bonded to the respective clips where the refrigerants flow by brazing. After the refrigerant piping is temporarily fixed to the respective clips, inert gas is supplied via the stator coil, to one clip to which the refrigerant piping is temporarily fixed from the refrigerant piping corresponding to the other clip positioned on an opposite side with the stator core between those clips. Successively, the refrigerant piping which is temporarily fixed to one clip and the clip are heated to braze them while the inert gas is discharged into atmospheric air from the refrigerant piping which is temporarily fixed to one clip, and brazing work is iteratively performed for each clip.
