Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a dielectric strength property in a ceramic electronic component in which a rate of the total thickness of internal electrodes to a thickness of a ceramic layer is large, and the number of internal electrodes is large.SOLUTION: A ceramic electronic component 1 includes a ceramic element assembly 10, a first internal electrode 11, and a second internal electrode 12. The total thickness x of the first and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 that are provided in the ceramic element assembly 10 and the thickness D1 of a ceramic layer 15 that is located at the central portion of the ceramic element assembly 10, satisfy relationship of " x/D1>175". The number of the first and second internal electrodes 11 and 12 is 250 or more. The thickness D2 of the ceramic layer 15 that is the closest to a first principal surface 10a and the thickness D1 satisfy a relationship of "D2>D1".
