Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image processing device, image processing method, and image processing program that stably retrieve a corresponding position even when a variation amount between images is relatively large.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: variation amount estimation means that compares a first image with a second image to calculate one or a plurality of relative variation amount candidates of the second image with respect to the first image; reliability degree calculation means that calculates a variation reliability degree as reliability for each of the calculated variation amount candidates; and position estimation means that corrects the first image in accordance with the calculated variation amount candidates and the corresponding variation reliability degrees, and thereafter retrieves a corresponding position between the corrected first image and the second image.
