Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection nozzle having a simple structure and an excellent atomizing effect of fuel.SOLUTION: A fuel injection nozzle 9 includes a nozzle body 14 and a needle 15. A fuel injection hole 16 is formed in the nozzle body 14. The fuel injection hole 16 includes an orifice section 17, an expansion chamber 18 and an injection port 19. In the orifice section 17, an assist gas passage 23 is opened. Assist gas is naturally sucked from the assist gas passage 23 by discharge of fuel, the fuel is preliminarily atomized by the assist gas and the fuel is finely atomized in the expansion chamber 18. Further, the atomization is promoted by even inflation when the fuel is injected from the injection port 19 to a combustion chamber 5. The assist gas is not required to be forcibly feed, thereby simplifying the structure of the fuel injection nozzle 9.
