Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladle degassing method for molten steel in which hydrogen is efficiently removed from molten steel while retaining the concentration of inclusions in the molten steel to a low order.SOLUTION: In the ladle degassing method, when degassing of molten steel in a ladle 2 is performed while blowing inert gas from two bottom blowing plugs 3, 3 provided at the ladle 2, the inert gas is blown in such a manner that a difference is made between the gas flow rate of one bottom blowing plug 3 and the gas flow rate of the other bottom blowing plug 3, the respective gas flow rates of the two bottom blowing plugs 3, 3 are set in such a manner that 0.2≤R≤0.45 is satisfied, and further, the total of the gas flow rates of the two bottom blowing plugs 3, 3 is controlled to 0.9 to 1.8 NL/min/ton.
