Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a palladium-platinum core shell catalyst having higher catalyst activity and more excellent durability than a conventional catalyst.SOLUTION: A method has a constitution including (a) a stage for preparing a mixed solution by dissolving a palladium precursor and a surfactant into an organic solvent, (b) a stage for preparing a sol mixed with palladium core nanoparticles by raising a temperature of a mixed solution under an inert gas atmosphere, (c) a stage for producing a mixture by mixing a platinum precursor solution with the sol, (d) a stage for producing nanoparticles having a palladium-platinum core shell shape by raising a temperature of the mixture under an inert gas atmosphere, (e) a stage for manufacturing a palladium-platinum core shell catalyst by allowing a carbon support medium to adsorb the nanoparticles having the palladium-platinum core shell shape, and (f) a stage for removing the surfactant from the palladium-platinum core shell catalyst.
