Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil determination method that eliminates variations in soil determination of a Swedish sounding test (SWS test).SOLUTION: A hole drilled in a SWS test is utilized. A change in water level is measured by detecting a change in electric resistance of an electrode part 32a on the end surface side of an insulation cable 3B made of two core wires inserted into the hole and an electrode part 33a on a peripheral surface side thereof. A rate of the change in the water level per time, which is obtained as the result of the above measurement, is graphed. A difference between cohesive soil and sandy soil is determined in such a manner that a constant boundary value serves as a boundary, from the figure. |
