Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control power use distribution within a range of battery residual capacity so as to improve user convenience, by considering video recording time of a video recording reservation program and a use frequency of each function.SOLUTION: A communication terminal comprises: a video recording reservation setting unit for reserving video recording of a program of digital broadcast; a video recording unit for executing video recording of the reserved program; a storage battery for supplying operation power; a battery residual capacity detection unit for detecting battery residual capacity in the storage battery; a use frequency measurement unit for measuring a use frequency of each executable function; an available time calculation unit which calculates distribution power assigned for executing each function by using the detected battery residual capacity, the measured use frequency of each function, and video recording requirement power required for recording the reserved program, and calculates available time for each function on the basis of the distribution power; and a report unit for reporting a warning including the available time until the battery residual capacity falls below the video recording requirement power required for recording the reserved program.
