Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a coil end on a compression part side in a coil of an electric motor.SOLUTION: In the electric motor, a refrigerant passage 51 that communicates a first region Z1 and a second region Z2 with each other is formed between a stator core 26 and a motor housing 11. In a journal member 19, a guide wall 19e is formed to guide a refrigerant so that the refrigerant that has flowed out from an outlet of the refrigerant passage 51 to the second region Z2 flows along an outer peripheral surface 272a in an axial direction of a second coil end 272. The refrigerant guided by the guide wall 19e is suctioned into a compression chamber 22 via a first through-hole 191h from the second region Z2.
