Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an internal combustion engine in which an occupant hears one of operation sounds caused by driving a spill valve of a high-pressure fuel pump and caused by driving a fuel injection valve, while being suppressed by the other operation sound.SOLUTION: The high-pressure fuel pump is driven without overlapping operation sounds caused by driving the fuel injection valve and operation sounds caused by driving the spill valve of the high-pressure fuel pump, and operation sounds of the high-pressure fuel pump are generated within the time which is determined from time masking characteristics based on the operation sounds of the fuel injection valve. Time masking effects existing in the human hearing sense is given to the occupant, such that apparent quietness can be improved although actual operation sounds are being generated. |
