Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve safety by making a system state of an electric vehicle conform to a system state where a driver sees and performs visual check and recognition of a display function part, without shifting to a travelable state or a chargeable state, when there is a failure in the display function part (combination meter).SOLUTION: A vehicle integrated control unit (EV-ECU) 51 turns on a high voltage relay 62 set between high voltage equipment (MCU and an onboard charger) and a high voltage wiring 61 that connects a battery 11 for vehicle driving, and shifts to a travellable state or a chargeable state, when determined that abnormality is not found in a combination meter 31, when an ignition switch is turned on or a charging gun is connected with a charging connector 42.
