Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell sorting apparatus, etc., capable of attaining high speed while causing little damage to cells.SOLUTION: A microchannel plate 3 is formed with flow passages 5a, 5b which are microchannels. A fluid is poured into the flow passage 5a from entrance portions 7a, 7b. The flow passage 5b is provided in such a manner as to be joined to the flow passage 5a. A fluid flows into the flow passage 5b from an entrance portion 7c. A portion of the flow passage 5b is in communication with the flow passage 5a at a communicating portion 17. That is, the fluids flowing in the flow passages 5a, 5b come into contact with each other. Near the communicating portion 17, a light absorber 13 is disposed on a sidewall of the flow passage 5a. That is, at the communicating portion 17 the light absorber 13 is provided on the sidewall opposite to the flow passage 5b. The light absorber 13 has a light absorption coefficient of 30% or more, preferably 60% or more, and has a film thickness of several tens to several hundreds of nanometers and, when irradiated with a laser beam, produces heat as part of the laser beam is absorbed. |
