Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the induction of thermal runaway between battery modules disposed adjacent to each other, effectively prevent thermal runaway caused by heating from the exterior, and unfailingly prevent the induction of the thermal runaway over a long period while making an outer shape compact.SOLUTION: In a power source device, multiple battery modules 1 are disposed adjacent to each other. Each battery module 1 includes multiple chargeable batteries and a fire resistant heat insulation case 2 which houses the batteries, is closed, and is not hermetically sealed. The fire resistant heat insulation case 2 has a lamination structure of metal plates 3 and heat insulation plates 4 that is formed by laminating the heat insulation plates 4 on inner surfaces or outer surfaces of the metal plates 3 and shields fire and heat with the metal plates 3 and the heat insulation plates 4.
