Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a rotor of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotor of a rotary electric machine includes: an annular member 21 that has an annular shape enclosing a rotation shaft so as to be spaced a predetermined radial distance away from the rotation shaft and rotates around the shaft; and bases extending in an axial direction and fixed to a radially outward outer peripheral surface of the annular member 21 so as to form circumferential clearances 29 therebetween; and permanent magnet lines 25, each of which is formed by arranging permanent magnet pieces 24 on each base in the axial direction and is disposed so as to form the circumferential clearance 29 between itself and the adjacent permanent magnet line 25. In the annular member 21, multiple radial through holes 28 are formed at portions facing the circumferential clearances 29 and the radial through holes 28 located at the same axial position are formed at an equal interval in the circumferential direction.
