Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for detecting thyroid cancer including malignancy thereof by using alteration in a genome structure in the thyroid cancer as an index.SOLUTION: It is found out that detection of thyroid cancer including malignancy thereof can be carried out by using alteration in a genomic structure in the thyroid cancer as an index. Furthermore, it is found out that proliferation of thyroid cancer is suppressed by suppressing the expression of a gene in the thyroid cancer.
