Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress overheating of electrical components.SOLUTION: A power storage system comprises: a rechargeable power storage device (10); electrical components (12, 13, C, SMR-B, SMR-G, SMR-P) through which a current flows as the power storage device is charged/discharged; a current sensor (22) for detecting the current flowing through the electrical components; and a controller (30) for determining an anomalous state owing to heating of the electrical components. The controller calculates an inverse number corresponding to the current detected by the current sensor from a correspondence between an inverse number of an upper limit time of continuous current conduction through the electrical components and the current flowing through the electrical components. The controller determines that the electrical components are in an anomalous state when an integral value resulting from the integration of every calculated inverse number becomes equal to or greater than a threshold.
