PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that it is necessary to incorporate a countermeasure for an incorrect operation of a device when analysis is performed by bringing a portable mass spectrometer to a sampling site, it is necessary to attain such a mass spectrometer that the incorrect operation is not caused when necessity for changing analysis conditions for every sample to be measured is generated, and it is necessary to provide a criterion for discontinuing sample measurement to execute device control maintenance when a measurement sample cannot be exactly analyzed due to contamination of the measurement sample, etc. in order to prevent incorrect determination.SOLUTION: When urine is measured, a mass spectrometer automatically detects substances contained in urine, automatically determines whether or not the substances are urine, and automatically selects intrinsic analysis conditions to a urine sample to execute measurement. Similarly, intrinsic analysis conditions are selected also for sweat, saliva, etc. Whether or not a sample containing an internal standard sample in a sample container is measured for every measurement to automatically perform error display, measurement discontinuation, etc. For soundness confirmation of the device, maintenance necessity of the device is determined every time.
