Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal lens capable of obtaining an effective refractive index distribution even when the distance between pattern electrodes is long as compared with the distance between the pattern electrodes and a common electrode.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic display device includes a display device capable of displaying an image and a liquid crystal lens 11 arranged so as to overlap the display device. The liquid crystal lens 11 includes: an insulating substrate 111; a first electrode 113A extending in a first direction; a second electrode 113B substantially parallel to the first electrode 113A; a high resistance part 112 electrically connecting the first electrode 113A and the second electrode 113B; a counter substrate 116; a common electrode 117; a liquid crystal layer 115; and a control part 119. The sheet resistance of the high resistance part 112 is equal to 100 G /sq or less. In one of modes, the control part 119 performs a control such that the electric potentials of the first pattern electrode 113 and the second pattern electrode 117 become different from each other.
