Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst structure for a flue gas desulfurization apparatus capable of improving strength of an object to be supported of the catalyst structure and improving durability.SOLUTION: A method for producing a catalyst structure body for a flue gas desulfurization apparatus is a method for producing a honeycomb catalyst structure 10 used for a flue gas desulfurization apparatus for recovering sulfur oxides contained in exhaust gas as a sulfuric acid. The integral block honeycomb catalyst structure 10 having a large number of channel spaces extending in the vertical direction and having the opened upper end and lower end is produced by sticking or welding to laminate activated carbon-based desulfurization catalyst sheets 20 (20A, 20B). The lower end part of the honeycomb catalyst structure 10 is installed by being supported by supporting parts 31Ca and 31Cb. The laminated desulfurization catalyst sheets 20 are bonded in the upper region of a supported part of the honeycomb catalyst structure 10 supported by at least the supporting part 31Ca in both side end parts.
