Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device that can improve frequency utilization efficiency and improve data transmission speed by polarization multiplex communication.SOLUTION: A transmitter 1000 comprises: a polarization allocation unit 30 for allocating a transmission symbol to each polarization component; and a V mapper 50-1 and an H mapper 50-2 for mapping V polarization and H polarization to a signal point in a constellation. Signal points on the constellation about each polarization each correspond to a plurality of degenerated symbols, and that a transmission symbol corresponding to one signal point at V polarization corresponds to which symbol is determined by the placement of a signal point which this transmission symbol corresponds to on a constellation of H polarization.
