Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the bulk modulus regardless of size, shape, and constitution etc. of a measurement object.SOLUTION: In a bulk modulus measuring apparatus, a measurement object is stored in a first pressure vessel 110. In a second pressure vessel 120, there is provided a pressure adjustment mechanism. The pressure adjustment mechanism includes: a pressure adjustment shaft 121 which is movable into the second pressure vessel 120 by an arbitrary movement amount; a motor 122 for moving the pressure adjustment shaft 121; and a motor controller 123 for measuring the movement amount of the pressure adjustment shaft 121 caused by the motor 122. In a pressure gauge 124, a pressure within the second pressure vessel 120 is measured. An arithmetic processing unit 140 calculates a bulk modulus of the measurement object on the basis of the pressure measured in the pressure gauge 124 and the movement amount of the pressure adjustment shaft 121.
