Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which, when power is turned on, does not require the origin position detection operation of a stepping motor and can start sewing operation immediately, and to provide a control program for a sewing machine.SOLUTION: When power is turned on, a CPU acquires current position information (initial position information P2) from an absolute encoder (S12). Next, the CPU acquires origin position information P1 from an EEPROM. Then, the CPU acquires position information (target position information P3) about a relative amount from the origin position information P1 to a position at the start of sewing (S14). The CPU calculates a rotation amount by using the equation (1) (S15): rotation amount=target position information P3-(initial position information P2-origin position information P1) (equation 1). Thereafter, the CPU rotates a cloth feed motor by the rotation amount calculated by using the equation (1) and starts sewing operation. |
