Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables precise calculation of an energy loss of a polymer material without actually executing testing.SOLUTION: A calculation method includes: a step S1 of setting a molecular structure model that is obtained by modelling a molecular structure of a polymer material upon including a finite number of particle models and a binding chain identifying a relative position between the particle models; a step S2 of defining a potential in each interval between the particle models of the molecular structure model; a structure relaxation step S4 of setting a polymer material model with the molecular structure model arranged in a cell, and executing a structure relaxation calculation; a deformation calculation step S5 of, after the structure relaxation calculation, providing cyclic deformation to the polymer material model and calculating stress and strain; and a step of calculating an energy loss on the basis of a result of the deformation calculation. In the step of executing the deformation calculation, a cycle of the deformation of the polymer material model is compared with an oscillation cycle based on an eigenfrequency of the potential, and when both cycles are not coincident, the deformation calculation is executed. |
