Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual clutch type automatic transmission capable of cooling a dual clutch using a shift stage gear at a non-traveling side when a temperature of the dual clutch becomes a set temperature or higher.SOLUTION: A duel clutch type automatic transmission includes: a clutch temperature derivation part 23b that derives a temperature of a dual clutch; and a clutch temperature determination part S102 that determines whether or not the clutch temperature derived by the clutch temperature derivation part becomes higher than a set temperature that has been previously set, and also includes a non-traveling side gear switching part S110 that switches an odd number shift stage gear or an even number shift stage gear at the non-traveling side to a low speed stage side when the clutch temperature determination part determines that the clutch temperature is the set temperature or higher, and controls so that the rotation speed of the clutch 20a or 20b in a disconnected state is increased.
