PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osteogenesis promoter which can increase bone density with a small amount of ingestion, which prevents rapid decrease of the bone density especially of postmenopausal women, and which can prevent osteoporosis, and to provide a flavor, food and drink, an animal feed or a drug or a quasi drug each having the osteogenesis promoter combined therewith.SOLUTION: An osteogenesis promoter exhibiting an excellent anti-osteoporosis effect, and a flavor composition, food and drink, an animal feed or a drug or a quasi drug each having the osteogenesis promoter combined therewith are obtained by using thymoquinone or a solvent extract of a black cumin seed, or a seed oil thereof, or an essential oil thereof as an active ingredient.
