Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film carrying device for preventing generation of metallic powder by abrasion of a chain and a guide member, by reducing tensile force acting on the chain.SOLUTION: A film carrying device 10 has guide members 20 arranged along both sides of a carrying passage of a film 1 and constituted of a pair of guide rails 21 and 21, chains 30 for moving along the guide members 20, and holding plates 50 installed in the chains 30 and holding both end parts of the film 1. The holding plate 50 is installed via an arm 60 extended toward the inside the carrying passage from an outside plate 31 of the chain 30, and the arm 60 has a bending part 65 bent so as to return again in the support surface direction after being extended in any direction for crossing with a support surface F of the film 1 from the outside plate 31, and the holding plate 50 is connected to a tip part 70 of the bending part 65.
