Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of efficiently agitating developer and toner supplied thereto, while restricting a situation in which developer with decreased toner concentration, recovered from a developing sleeve, is immediately supplied to the developing sleeve.SOLUTION: A developing device is provided with a third conveyance member that conveys in a reverse direction to the direction of developer conveyance in a recovery chamber. Also, the center of the shaft of the third conveyance member is disposed in the direction of gravity below a section where developer falls between the repulsive poles of a magnet roller 29 in a developing sleeve.
