PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur trioxide removal system capable of reducing the residue of sulfur trioxide in a sulfur trioxide removal treatment, a sulfur trioxide removing method, and a carbon dioxide recovery system.SOLUTION: A sulfur trioxide removal system includes a dry removing section that brings a gas containing sulfur trioxide into contact with an adsorbent to remove the sulfur trioxide in the gas. In addition, the system includes a wet removing section that brings the gas discharged from the dry removing section into contact with an absorption liquid to remove the sulfur trioxide that remains in the gas.
