Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of ensuring disassembling characteristics of a sheath by notches formed on the sheath and also ensuring mechanical characteristics even at a low temperature.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 10 includes a sheath 16 formed on the outer circumference of an assembly core 11 housing many optical fibers 14. The optical fiber cable 10 has a plurality of U-shaped notches 17 for tearing the sheath in the longitudinal direction of the sheath 16, and a remaining sheath thickness t1 from the bottom of the notches 17 to the inner surface of the sheath 16 is 0.3 mm or more and 1.2 mm or less.
