Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the adhesion of toner to a charging part.SOLUTION: In a voltage applying process, a printer 10 applies a positive electric potential which is of the same polarity as the toner polarity to a drum cleaner (S24, S30), discharges residual toner to a photoreceptor from the drum cleaner, and applies an electric potential which is a positive electric potential, of the same polarity as the toner polarity, and higher than that of the drum cleaner to a charging roller (S22, S30). Therefore, even when the residual toner discharged from the drum cleaner and adhering to the photoreceptor passes through a charging position which is in contact with the charging roller due to the rotation of the photoreceptor, the residual toner and the charging roller electrically repel each other, and the adhesion of the residual toner to the charging roller is suppressed. |
