Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for feeding components, capable of reducing contact between components without increasing complexity or size of the device or deteriorating a work environment.SOLUTION: A device for feeding components comprises: a robot 12 vertically movably, tiltably, and rotatably holding an end effector 11 having two scooping bars 25 disposed parallel to each other at a preset interval; a component box 13 having a storage chamber having an open upper part, wherein slits movably guiding the scooping bars above the storage chamber are formed in a bottom part and a wall part at a side opposite the end effector 11; a control part 15 executing the control for moving the scooping bars along the slits and scooping the stored components and the control for shaking and dropping the scooped components without being pinched between the scooping bars by rotating the scooping bars moved above the storage chamber; and a placing part 14 placing thereon the components scooped from the component box 13.
