PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric that has a plurality of projection parts and is useful for a variety of industrial material uses.SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric has various properties. The nonwoven fabric has a plurality of projection parts, and the surface area of a main surface side is large. The nonwoven fabric has a plurality of cavities in the projection parts and then is excellent in cushioning property, liquid absorbing property and liquid retainability. The nonwoven fabric includes substantially no fibers in the cavities, and the basis weight is small in spite of the large surface area of the main surface side. The nonwoven fabric includes a fiber layer also in the projection parts, and when the shape of the projection parts is deformed, the shape of the projection parts is easily recovered due to the fiber layer existing in the projection parts.
