PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gravure printing paper for publishing, which obtains antistatic effect by applying an anchor coat agent containing a moisturizing component on gravure paper for publishing, and maintains surface glossiness.SOLUTION: The gravure printing paper for publishing has the anchor coat agent applied thereon which comprises polyalcohol, saccharides, lower alcohol and water. When a part by weight of the polyalcohol is defined as W1, a part by weight of the saccharides is defined as W2, a part by weight of the lower alcohol is defined as W3 and a part by weight of the water is defined as W4, the anchor coat agent applied on the gravure printing paper for publishing contains the above components so as to be W1=20 to 40, W2=3 to 30, W3=25 to 30 and W4=25 to 40 (where W1+W2+W3+W4=100 pts.wt.).
