Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric circuit that suppresses an overcurrent flowing through an FET while suppressing a spike voltage in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The electric circuit includes: the FET into which a gate voltage is input; a driver which has a driving voltage input line, an output line for outputting the gate voltage, and a switch element for selectively connecting/disconnecting the driving voltage input line and the output line, and which turns on the switch element to output an H level gate voltage depending on a driving voltage; an overcurrent detection section for detecting an overcurrent flowing through the FET; a discharge line connected to the driving voltage input line; and a discharge switch for selectively connecting/disconnecting the discharge line. If an overcurrent is detected, the discharge switch is turned on with the switch element kept on, so that a discharge from the output line via the switch element and the discharge line gradually reduces the gate voltage from the H level.
