Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute restricted operations by a computer program code in a web browser, where the code is permitted to invoke restricted operations if consent is received.SOLUTION: An embodiment includes generating a risk rating for a computer program code component, where the component includes a component operation for executing a restricted system operation and for displaying, for a user, an input request message for permission to execute the restricted system operation, where the input request message includes the risk rating and a description of the component operation. The program code includes a script code associated with a web page that invokes a web browser plug-in, and the script code in turn invokes the restricted system operation. The code invokes the restricted system operation in response to receiving an input from a user via a web browser.
