Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a loss in a magnetic bearing supporting a rotary shaft in a non-contact manner by electromagnetic force.SOLUTION: A magnetic bearing includes: a plurality of teeth (24) (iron core); a coil (Cd) for a control current, which is wound around each of the teeth (24) and generates a magnetic flux for controlling the position of the rotary shaft (13); and a coil (Cb) for a bias current, which is wound around each of the teeth (24) and generates a bias magnetic flux with the winding number (Nb) larger than that of the coil (Cd) for control current.
