Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial tooth in which favorable handling properties in the arrangement can be established by clarifying the three-dimensional positional relationship between a cusp tip and a cavity and the contact areas thereof, the cusp tip and cavity being in contact with each other on an occlusal surface, in maxillary and mandibular artificial molar teeth opposing each other at the cusp tip and cavity.SOLUTION: In an artificial tooth serving as a mandibular first premolar having a buccal cusp tip, a lingual cusp tip, a mesial pit and a distal pit, the orientation with the origin at the distal pit, the ratio of the distances from the origin to a mesial surface, a distal surface, a buccal side surface and a lingual side surface, and the positional relationship between the cusp tip and the pit are appropriately set. In an artificial tooth serving as a maxillary first premolar having the buccal cusp tip, the lingual cusp tip, the mesial pit and the distal pit, the orientation with the origin at the lingual cusp tip, the ratio of the distances from the origin to the mesial surface, the distal surface, the buccal side surface and the lingual side surface, and the positional relationship between the cusp tip and the pit are appropriately set. Then, the distal pit of the artificial tooth serving as the mandibular first premolar is brought into contact with the lingual cusp tip of the artificial tooth serving as the maxillary first premolar. Moreover, the buccal cusp tip of the artificial tooth serving as the mandibular first premolar is brought into contact with the mesial pit of the artificial tooth serving as the maxillary first premolar.
