Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card component housing device which allows easy attachment and detachment of a card component to/from each of a plurality of slots and preventing them from erroneously falling from the slots or from being stolen by pulling them out, and also has a simple construction.SOLUTION: A card component housing device comprises: a plurality of slots 1, 2 to which a card component can be inserted; a plurality of lids 3, 4 which are provided at inlet ports of the slots 1, 2 and can be switched between a state in which the inlet ports are opened and a state in which they are closed; a lock mechanism including lock parts 3b, 4b which are provided on the plurality of lids 3, 4 and an open/close control disc (engagement means) 7 which can be engaged with the lock parts 3b, 4b; a single stepping motor (drive means) 6 which drives the lock mechanism; and a control part 5 which allows independent setting of passwords respectively associated with each of the lids 3, 4 and controls motion of the stepping motor 6 in accordance with an input of a password that has been set.
